Cooking Again~

Well, for those who know me... well enough... I love cooking~!

I decided to make Chicken Rice & a pot of wholesome soup for lunch and hopefully there are some left for dinner.

I went to buy...

- 1 Whole Chicken
- Ginger
- Onions
- Shallots
- Garlic
- Cucumber
- Potatoes
- Lime
- Spring Onion

So I start by peeling the potatoes, onions and shallots, cleaning the spring onions, skin the chicken, cut the chicken into nice pieces. I also prepared the spices and made chili sauce.

The soup turned out superb but the chicken rice was quite, a disaster. It was my first time cooking with a stainless steel pot and I am not used to it. So, the rice was not cooked properly and end up I decided to make it into porridge. Then some of the rice at the bottom got burned. Oh My God~!

But I take it as an experience now that I know cooking with a stainless steel pot is a BAD BAD idea.

Oh by the way, for those who are wondering, I didn't eat the chicken.

No-Meat Diet

Half way through my 30-Day No Meat Diet.

Yes, I have decided to call it a No Meat Diet cos I really didn't take any meat such as chicken, pork, fish, beef and mutton.

However, I had anchovies together with my Nasi Lemak. I had 2 Nasi Lemak as for now.

Everything is going fine except that my friends has to suit my diet sometimes when we go for lunches or dinners. However, I can still survive as long as there is Mixed Rice (Chap Fan) stalls around.

It is not as crazy as when I was in high school. I almost fainted because my mom didn't include meat in any of the dish during dinner one day.

Haha... Another 15 days to go...

By the way, I start counting the days from 2 April 2008 because on 1 April, I accidentally ate chicken feet cos I'm used to it already.

Torturing Myself?

Many of my friends were shocked but some of them were easy with my vegetarian diet.


Some (whom I think are lack of knowledge) said, "Why are you torturing yourself?"

There are in fact many different types of vegetarians.

What is a Vegetarian Diet?

A vegetarian diet is a diet that does not include meat. This includes all animal meat, poultry, and fish. People who follow a vegetarian diet are called vegetarians. Many vegetarians also do not eat other animal products such as gelatin, rennet (used in making cheese), and animal fats (often used in cooking).

Vegetarians who include eggs and dairy products in their diets are called ovo-lacto vegetarians. People who do not eat any animal products (including honey) are called vegans.

Semi- or partial-vegetarians sometimes eat meat (usually poultry or fish).

Taking Action to see The Change

If you noticed, I have been stressing on Change and Taking Action in my recent posts.

What makes me talk about that all of a sudden?

Certain people tend to think a lot at times when either they feel that, "Hey! I can actually do more than what I am doing now!" or "I deserve more than what I am having now!"

Haha... I tend to think a lot at times but when I feel like I want to do something, it didn't happen simply because I didn't take action. How are things suppose to change if no actions are taken?

There are a few people that inspired me to take action and make a change, a change that I wanted to see in me. Brian Tracy, Anthony Robbins, Jim Rohn, Bob Proctor and many more are among the many people that gave me the inspiration to go ahead and take action!

I just decided to be a vegetarian starting today... a Lacto-Ovo-Vegetarian.

I am a vegetarian that also consume dairy products and eggs.

I plan to be like that for the next 30 days to see if there is any change in my health.

Most of my friends cannot believe it cos today is April's Fool. Still, I need to stand strong on my decision! Gambade~
