Picture(s) Galore

So, as promised, I have posted the gathering picture below.

If you compare this year and 2006, you will find that there are not much differences among the attendees. What is obvious is the consistency of the people that came for the gathering.

Apparently, guys are more consistent. LOL

Actually, we hope to see more people attending the gathering next year. Thus, earlier planning need to be done!

Back to Normal

Everything is now back to normal as we see Chinese New Year celebration passed by. I'm going back to work tomorrow and my friends are going back to their classes too.

All that happened were just like a series of dreams. Going back to Bkt Mertajam, Suffered from Chicken Pox, Enjoyed homecooked food. What else? Of course the gathering with friends. I guess we are the only few groups of people in this country that actually get together every year, not to mention, we are all primary school friends.

It's been 12 years since we graduated from Primary School. Those were the days, nothing to be worried about, running around in the field, lining up in the canteen to get food, swinging on the swing, games and laughters. Ahh... As we grow, more and more responsibilities are put on our back. We have to worry about food, accommodation, our future, bla bla bla...

I chatted with my long lost old primary school friend. He asked me whether I have started working or not. I told him I started working since 2004, yes, he was obviously shocked! Sometimes I wonder, whether it is right to graduate so early and face the real world at such age. Then I think back, our parents or grandparents started working even earlier! They had to face the world when they are still in their teenage era! We are still fooling around when we are in our teenage time.

Funny eh?

Chinese New Year Visit

I just came back from a visit to my primary school teacher's place 3 hours ago.

It's a tradition since we left primary school that every year, we visit her - Ms Kang. She is our class teacher when we were all in Standard 6 (Class 6C) of SRJK (C) Jit Sin 'B'. That was back in year 1995.

Gathering with old classmates usually brings back tonnes of memories of our primary school time. We use to have lots of FUN running around freely, dine together during recess time, sweat out during PE classes and more.

I think it's because we used to meet each other once a year (every Chinese New Year without fail at our teacher's place), we still have lots of topic to talk about. There are 2 ex-classmates that just joined us, they are Kang Ji and Ming Sze (Jess). I will post their pictures here in my next posts.

Here are the picture of our previous gathering last year (yeah, some of you have actually seen it). The people that are not here this year are Kim Heok, Kam Swee and Li Hua.

Fruitful Weekend?

So, here am I, posting another new post for my blog...

How is your weekend? Well, mine was totally... semi-productive...

On friday, I started to built my robot model a.k.a. GUNDAM... Let's rewind to the days when I stop building them after I purchased them. I have altogether 6 unbuilt GUNDAMs and if you are a Gundam fan, I have the followings still in the box.

- 1/100 Strike Gundam (Aile, Sword and Launcher)
- 1/100 Gundam Astray Blue Frame Second L
- 1/100 MG Freedom
- Just finished 70% -> 1/100 Force Impulse Gundam

so, I decided to open the Force Impulse and start building it. I cut, sand, sprayed and paint... i used around 10 hours to finish just about 70%...

Other than doing that, I went for lunch, dinners. I took my bath and played some computer games just to get away from the strain of building Gundam.

Not forgetting logging in to forums and post some text... Chat on MSN... Totally Semi-Productive in the sense that I did not even started to construct my new website that is going to be up in March 2007!

It's February 2007

Well, many of my friends knew that there is something going to happened in March 2007. Yes, it is indeed a big "Hoo Haa" about a Brand New Me in March 2007 but nothing has been leaked so far.

Many asked me whether I am starting my own business... Must it always me business? I know I am always associated to business whenever I want to start something. Well, it's just me. Im a business minded person. To me, everything has its value, anything can be sold!

I was instill with this mindset since I was in secondary school. I started my very first sale when my father started to ask me whether any of my classmates wanted to buy reference books. Yes, my dad is a book dealer. He once own a bookstore and worked for a few publishers. He has a lot of books, reference books especially, to be sold.

I thought I gave it a try. First thing I took out the book and tell my friends the price, there were orders already! I'm selling the books for like about half the market price! Then I thought I can earn some extra money, so I marked up a little bit for the next title. And the sale when on and on and on...

I was earning my own pocket money when I was 15 years old. I sold books, stamps (First Day Covers) and I even team up with my friend to come up with merchandizes for TITANIC (the show that was so popular during 1998). We had sold more than RM200 worth of merchandizes of the movie such as photos, bookmarks and calendars. We had suppliers custom made the merchandise for us!

From there onwards, I sold stamps and books in my school and I use the money that I earn as my pocket money. I know how hard-earned is those money so I save most of it.

I thought I will stop after graduating from secondary school but I did not... I continued until now... WIll tell you guys more in my next post!

Time flies and it is now February 2007. A few days more, it will be Valentine's Day. I had never celebrated Valentine's Day before because I had no reason to celebrate it. This will be my 24th Valentine's Day... alone.

Come to think of it, it is just a few days before Chinese New Year and I am so excited about it now! I can go back and meet my family and friends and I can also relax at home and forget all about work.

Unfortunately, I had to work on the content of my new website that is going to be soft-launch in March 2007. I do hope my sis or mom will bring back their laptops for me to do my work at home.

Is it the end of the world? part. 2

Well, today I heard from the news that winter in US is much colder that it is supposed to be and Japan's winter is hotter by 3 degree celcius! This is outrages man~!

And after what we had experienced in Johor, now it's Jakarta! Raining non stop has caused the water level to rise and now Jakarta is flooded! 34,000 people has to be evacuated to high grounds! If this is what caused by the Global Warming, soon I guess we will be experiencing hotter weather in Malaysia!

It is still not too late for us to reversed the condition but if we wait for another say 3 years... Bye Bye Earth! It's an early retirement for us here already.

I just finished an event at Low Yat Plaza days ago. It was the Microsoft Windows Vista Consumer Launch. It was very crowded as it is open for public. Tonnes of prizes and goodies to be won. We also had O2 Jam competition and the winner has won himself the Windows Vista Ultimate and a RM3k HP desktop!

We had a setup until 5.00am in the morning. I went back to the hotel with my friends and had slept for 2 hours before I dressed up to go on site for the event. It is damn tiring but we had FUN! It was a very enjoyable event although there are many frustrating incidents happened!

I was so busy that I didnt had the chance to read the news until these few days.

L.O.V.E.

My company recently organized and event in KL Convention Centre yesterday (31 Jan 07). Our last event there was in September 2006 and that's for the Microsoft TechEd SEA 2006. I made a few friends there, they are the staff of the convention centre.

Surprising ly after 4 months, they still remember my name! I was so touched and so surprised!! It was a delightful experience having to see them there. Of course it feels more comfortable to see familiar faces when I do event at certain venues.

Oh yeah, the event was the Microsoft Business Value Launch - Microsoft Office, Microsoft Vista and Microsoft Exchange Server 2007. Ms. Yasmin Mahmood, the Managing DIrector of Microsoft Malaysia, during her opening speech, said that L.O.V.E. stands for Launch of Office, Vista and Exchange Server.

It was fun having events over at KL Convention Centre because thier staff are all very accommodating and helpful, not to mention, there is always smiles on their faces!

Looking forward for Microsoft TechED SEA 2007 again at KL Convention Centre.

If you check www.dictionary.com, the word 'love' stands for many many meanings. The first meaning that was listed among all is as follows:

"1. a profoundly tender, passionate affection for another person. "

Well, as far as love is concern, I agree with the explanation above. I am not trying to tell my love story here (as if I have one...) but the feeling of affection or at least the admiration to a person is very precious.

I have personally felt the same feeling towards some people. I became extra caring and alert towards them and I felt worry when something bad happened to them. The feeling is so strange, sometimes when you are disappointed and you cry when they do something that "hurt" you even though they didnt intend to.

There is a song by KangKang (Taiwanese singer), in his lyrics, there is a sentence that goes "those that are used to disappointment, will not try to hope for something..." Yes, I do agree on that sentence too!

Sometimes, I think to myself, whether I am really used to disappointment or not...
